Ottawan was founded in 1979 by record producers Daniel Vangarde and Jean Kluger!

Esther de Bijl aka E-Starr born on the beautiful island of Bali is a member of Ottawan from the start. She comes from a very musical family and she always knew she wanted to become a singer and perform on stage. Before Esther joined Ottawan she performed with her brother and sisters in well known bands like 'Sisters of Soul' and 'Solid Sisters'. She is also a skilled Song writer and collaborated with Dj Volltax and Hit Finders Dj's under her solo project E-Starr.

Esther is a real Disco-Star and many TV-shows and 'Live' shows in clubs, discothèques, special events and festivals all over the globe became part of her life.
Esther is still on the road today with all the Hits in her bag!
